A bit about the role
At Avvio, every day really is different. But here’s some of the things you’ll be doing:
Manage and develop client accounts through consistent high-standards of delivery and strong relationship building
Manage and mentor account teams, leading by example and getting the best out of everyone
Establish business objectives for each client project and provide a full and detailed proposal that meets given budget, deadlines and which achieves the business objectives
Responsible for the client team’s productivity, outlook and output, whilst achieving the highest possible standards
To constantly monitor, liaise with and update all members of the project team on a regular basis
Manage own time effectively and understand the need to prioritise tasks or delegate where needed, flagging if more resource is required
Head up pitches and presentations, managing the development through the studio, working alongside the Senior Team
Write strategic and tactical proposals (alongside Senior Team) for projects and pitches
Ensure all client communications are checked and are high standard prior to going to the client
Effectively manages, develops and mentors people either through line management, client teams or internal departments
Ensure Avvio administration procedures (Geco, CRM system, Microsoft Teams etc.) and processes, (Scoping meetings, Kick offs, Studio bookings etc.) are being carried out by yourself and the team
To be fully accountable for gross margin achievement on all your projects

Step back and look at the big picture – Is this within the client’s expectations? Have Avvio out priced ourselves?
Looking beyond the day-to-day activity to second guess and spot things coming
To build and maintain excellent working relationships with clients from a strategic as well as tactical point of view
Understand and anticipate client strategic and tactical needs
Secure future business and growth by recognising opportunities for Avvio as early as possible, and by bringing Avvio’s capabilities to the attention of the client
As the main touch point for Avvio ensure you are always available for the client
Create a good team spirit amongst all staff to ensure co-operation and efficiency at all times
Manage client and Avvio project-related stress in a calm, positive, objective and constructive manner
Is aware of Avvio’s capabilities, brand ethos and client portfolio
Demonstrates self-motivation and strive for continual improvement
Challenges the process, identifies and actions realistic alternatives
If client demands mean the team has to work late, or go the extra mile – we work as a team to achieve this
Additional skills/abilities:
Help the team prioritise and cope
Negotiate in an assertive, positive and friendly manner
Excellent presentation skills
Superb communication and negotiation skills at all levels (to include problem solving and resolving escalated issues)
Proven track record of successful client management and profitable account development
Excellent budget planning and management, cost control and profit maximisation skills
3-6 years agency experience in comparable environment
A professional qualification such as a CIM or DMI an advantage
IT literate, numerate and analytical
